A great example of the magical way these guys are able to take a feeling and deliver it via music. A beautiful acoustic start to the song and then some sexy slide guitar knocks this one out of the park. The way he so eloquently describes the way he feels just makes you have to sing along. Another favorite at his acoustic shows. The way these guys wrote together is simply impressive! John told me that they sat in a room and just built these songs together and you can really tell.
Every guitar part plays perfectly into the vocal line. The marriage between the two is ideal. And wow! Listen to all that Bruce is doing in this tasty solo without sounding like Half The World Away - Oasis - Oasis is over playing!
It starts out with a funky bass sounding keyboard part that just sets the scene for this driving song! Strong, determined Man From Mecca - Sweet* - MP3 Collection line and guitar that paints the picture from the Tell Me Why - The Scream - Let It Scream thin sound to the ripping distorted parts.
Sha La La La Lee - Small Faces - Small Faces tosses in little guitar fills that make your body tighten up! Another sax solo followed by an insane guitar solo. I would say this is my favorite song on the record. I listen to this album all the time and still, I get pumped when I hear these songs! This one starts out and a chill Tell Me Why - The Scream - Let It Scream down my spine!
Powerful music and, of course, super cool lyrics! Walt does such a great job on the transitions in this song. Lose-lose situation for all parties involved, with Corabi lasting only one album with the Crue arguably their best work to date while The Scream managed to record enough material for a sophomore album with Billy Fogarty filling in for Corabi on vocals that never got released on account of their label dropping them before it even saw the light of day.
This particular group has now since become one of the biggest "What If? I'm not joking here, either. One person found this helpful. If you ever needed proof that good music, and good bands can be forgotten in obscurity than look no further than the Scream. This is one of the best rock albums of the 90's period. Yet, try to find it on the radio. Try to find anyone who knows about it. Some Motley Crue fans will know the singer as the guy who replaced Vince Neil for one album inwhat Be About Yo Paper - The Click - Game Related shame.
I like the Motley Crue album John Corabi did. Man on The Moon, Mother Father, and really most of the songs could have been huge radio hits. These guys are so talented!!! As a guy who enjoys playing and listening to music this was purchased just to see who Motley Crue had hired as their singer. Ended up being one of the best Päiväuni - Wesper - Kipua Vai Kunniaa purchases I ever made.
The only sad thing is that John would have been much better off had he stayed with the Scream. I read an interview with him once where he wondered if Motley Crue was the highlight of his career. No john it wasn't. Radio play and record sales have much more to do with who is promoting, pushing, and backing a band then the band or the members of that band.
This band really should have been huge in comparison to the less talented acts who sold millions of records and enjoyed prolific radio play. The Scream Tell Me Why - The Scream - Let It Scream could have gone in many different directions in follow up efforts to this recording more bluesy rock and acoustic work with those one of kind Corabi vocals please.
If you like rock music mixed with hard rock and blues your going to love this. Great stuff there too!!! I really hate the fact Tell Me Why - The Scream - Let It Scream John Corabi is only known as having done one Motley Crue record to most people.
This guy is really talented and has done and contributed to many other projects, and written some great music. John Corabi almost opporates like a Jazz musician in that he plays with everyone. Put his name in an amazon search, listen to some samples if you don't believe me.
This guy is really good. Back inI got hooked on The Scream's "Let It Scream" and 12 years later it's the most played disc in my collection. I have never tired or got bored from repeated listening and still crank it up at least once a week sometimes more frequently.
With his Steven Tyler meets Tom Keifer swagger, it's clear from the word go that Corabi possesses a great set of pipes. A solid rocker, "I Believe in Me" quickly follows with its tongue-in-cheek chorus.
